This was my first Rhodia sketchbook and I loved it! I’m a fan of their desk pads (who isn’t) so I wasn’t too surprised. I almost exclusively used fountain pens in here and this paper is a match made in heaven. The ink kinda sits on top of the paper instead of soaking in which I like a lot and there’s hardly any bleed through even though the paper is thin. It’s really well made, I love the soft cover and the big, hefty pocket in the back and the cool orange endpapers. They also come in a TON of different colors! One of my favorite sketchbooks I’ve ever used honestly.
I’ll definitely be buying another one someday, but I do wish there was a blank option. The dot grid is nice, but I got kinda tired of it after a while. I draw my diary comics in my sketchbooks and the dots kinda got in the way sometimes and it was annoying to go and erase them when they were over small text or right next to a pupil or something. Also the cream is nice but it too got old… I’d love a blank white version! A lot of my inks really shine on bright white paper. But really I think this one kinda wore on me because it took almost a FULL YEAR to fill up! Mostly because the paper is so nice it allowed me to draw on both sides of the page. As someone who loves a good sketchbook but also wants to fill them up so he can buy a new sketchbook, that’s a bit of a blessing and a curse! But if you’re a fountain pen person, look no further, this is the sketchbook for you.
